Longer links are truncated on the forum and if you preview the post before submitting, it breaks your link so you need to paste it again on the preview page. If you still have the link you can edit your post and paste the link again.

I've won two sargent and greenleaf environmental padlocks w/ 1 key. The key operates both locks, and I'll be duplicating another one buy hand. The other project I will soon have is another sargent and greenleaf environmental padlock w/o keys. So I will have to picks/impression it with putty. If this goes well, I should be able to offer atleast one to a lucky KP member for a rather reduced price.

Nice! Thanks for posting the pics. I can't wait to eventually get into picking disc-detainer locks. I've always loved those environmentals. There's one at my local pawn shop... but I refuse to pay $75 for it. They're beautiful locks.

Neat project, hope it turns out. Keep us up to date.

$75 isn't bad. I wish I lived next to ur local pawn shop. That place sounds like a lockies dream. I will definitely keep y'all up to date. I received my third environmental and it has a massive chain attached to it w/o a key. I've got to pick it and then impression it with putty. It'll work because its a key retaining padlock, although it will be my first detainer lock that'll I'll pick.

Well, if the Master Ebay Ninja himself, says it's not a bad price... it must not be too bad. He started at $85, but said he'd take $75 for it. I think I'll wait him out a little longer, but I don't forsee him letting go of it for much less. Especially considering I basically STOLE those four military locks from him LOL. I mean, I literally raped him on that deal... and he knows it now (he likes to remind me of it everytime I'm there LOL).

He's a great guy, and yeah, I love that pawnshop. I try not to go unless I have AT LEAST an hour to spend in there.

The Environmental is in picture 2a on the top right. There's also some close-up pics of it in that same thread a couple posts up. Thanks for letting me know that $75 is a semi-fair deal... I may have to give in sometime... just not yet!

Here's the Environmental Padlock with a chain attached. It has no key.

So that's what that piece on the bottom is for, a chain. I had wondered about that.

I have a S&G Environmental without keys as well and I have trouble picking it. Isn't it basically a 3 disc lock? Any advice? Do you tension the first disc?

Cheers
