WEP brand secure 5 lever - rare vintage padlock

Having picked this open and finding out later its rare around these parts !

I decided to make a key for this padlock and see what,s inside :geek: too in the process .. not much information out there on these old locks

now there is ! :smile:

lol ! it should last another 100 years

I cut a key on a old steel one as this was more fitting for the period ! what year it was first made ?

no computer geeks have made a joke about "WEP cracking"? :) (referring to older wifi encryption) Cool lock too!

These lever tumblers are known as a closed gate design.

Thanks lauren any advice on how to proceed in putting the pins or rivets back ?
I was thinking drill the old ones out completely & heat one pin at a time and stamp or press them back in to suit ? any advice would be helpful as I want to make a good job of it ! lol
