Locks I see out and about

This was my first time ever seeing one of these in person and they are a lot heavier and bigger than I thought from looking at pictures!

I usually don't like asking for this kind of stuff but if anyone has one that they would be okay with letting me play around with for a bit and then send back please pm me.

Sure did. Got on the train tracks, took the picture, then got off as soon as I could. Even though I didn't see a train those tracks are still a bit freaky to stand on.

Yeah, it is a wafer lock. Like the S&G Environmental they don't seem to really care about security against picking.

thats not a normal wafer lock.. its actually a pretty tough one.. its got a pack of wafers all touching eachother.. they all share a common spring... i did a vid on one... american 50 series... very fun lock... not shit.

No. It's more like the Chicago double sided wafer lock. Maybe a titsch higher quality, though.

im fairly certain even chicago locks use a spring per wafer... instead of 1 spring for ALL the wafers...

from the factory every wafer is exactly the same... they put them in the plug, insert the key then trim them all to fit the plug... so there is no way to "read" them.. the single wpring wire that springs them outward from the plug is kinda S shaped so some are sprung up while others are sprung down...

they are really neat... someone should break one down with some pix

Easy way to pick them, Overlift one side, apply tension, then rake or swp the other side. If that does not work switch the side you overlift!!

Don't know if this is worth posting but because I have never seen one before I thought it was pretty cool. It is a Sargent padlock. Sorry it isn't clear.

I had some of those. I put Sargent Signature Series cores in em and then sent them around. Nice find. I think Sargent makes quality stuff.

I seen a DOM IX 5 at a petrol station yesterday. I did take a pic but it looks pretty crappy.

Petrol stations give some of the coolest locks that I see out and about. There's a KABA 20 on another I know of.

I don't care if it looks "crappy" man, I want to see that! I have never seen a DOM when out before. Really all I see are Medecos, Masters, Americans and BEST locks.
