Rotalock Padlock Pix
It arrived in a medium flat rate box filled with packing peanuts. It makes me smile when an armoured padlock is taken such good care of.
Ain't she a beauty!
The cylinder in the lock is empty. No springs, drivers, key pins, side bar or side pins. So the plug was half way to the unlocked position.
Turn the plug with a finger nail (not really) and it opens.
Heres a hex screw that holds the shackle in the housing.
Shackle removed and spring extracted.
Here you can see the milling in the shackle. The hex screw rides here.
Once the shackle and spring are out, the screws are exposed.
Unscrew the screws and the bottom falls out along with the cylinder.
This is the actuator.
The plug has a space cut into the back so it can mate with the actuator.
The ball bearing sit in two groves when the padlock is unlocked.
The plug and actuator mated... bowchica wowow
Exploded view... kinda.

Well, thats it. If anyone has an ASSA, Mul-T-Lock or other really cool Hi Sec. cylinder that can go into this padlock, Please let me know. I want to make this a truly 1 of a kind padlock.
