This may be in the wrong section, but I wasn't really sure where to put this. Has anyone ever considered actually making a homebrew lock? I personally think it would be an interesting thing to pursue after i had seen the post from LockSmithArmy on magnetic pins. Or maybe even reconstructing locks from other locks, like a "FrankenLock" ?

someone on another forum did it... it was neat...
Re: Build a Lock Workshop
Really? You should throw a link my way if you ever stumble onto it again. I might work this into my project book.

I don`t think I've ever made a lock from scratch like Jon King did. But frankenlocks are my thing.
Here is a thread I made that links to most of my lock mods/FrankenLocks. Enjoy.

Quite inventive. Did he end up making any more, or was it too much of a pain?

Just the one. He borrowed a lever lock from me to make one of those, but I think we've gotten too busy doing conference shenanigans to get anything actually done : )
