Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
There should be a screw (usually Phillips head) at the bottom of the shackle hole.
Undo that and the cylinder should drop out.
Be careful when removing the cylinder as there could be other pieces like spring return mechanisms behind it. You will be able to work it out from there
As to the key way, I'm sure that someone here will be able to tell you.

Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
If you don't see a screw down the shackle hole, they may be Sargent interchangeable core locks, and you'll have to pick them to control.

Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
Those look like a restricted keyway - definitely not the usual L or R series. Like the others have said, there will be a screw underneath the shackle and the cylinder will drop out. They are not LFIC.

Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
What tells you it's not LFIC? The form factor sees about right- is it the lack of logo on the housing of the lock? All of the LFIC locks I've seen had "sargent" on the lock housing. Are there non-sargent cores that fit into Sargent housings?
Thanks,

Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
When it comes to finding the keyway in our shop we just go thru the Sargent keyblanks we have until we find the one that fits. It could most likely be an LA Sargent Keyway. Then if you know how to impression, that's how I would make a key, then use the code machine to make a factory cut key! Hope this helps. Doesn't always work this way in our shop, but what I say is pretty much an ideal way to do it!
You leave my GRAPHITE alone!!!
Re: SARGENT PADLOCK HELP
tpark - I have the same lock here, it's not LFIC. The 2 lobes are slightly smaller and always say SARGENT on the front. What you see on that padlock is just a bible cover.

Most aftermarket (and a few OEM) pin kits use colored pins to visually distinguish sizes.
