ORIGINAL - KROOKLOK

Thought I would share my findings on this - would not recommend this product - no cutting equipment required

photos to come - its possible to remove the lock & housing with very little effort and no damage & rebuild the unit

total :bs:

Re: ORIGINAL - KROOKLOK

What their advertising skips is that the lock is made to benefit "krooks"

Re: ORIGINAL - KROOKLOK

How they must have giggled on the factory floor - when building these things - looks like the product did well and sold - millions of units worldwide

the lock of course was designed to lock a foot pedal to the steering wheel - giving ample room for this attack

now for the boring stuff : lock is a 5 wafer & used a double bitted key - blank ilco 1527 or silca LF23R

Of course You are right that this thing is built in a crummy way, but to the thief that didn't get a chance to examine it beforehand,
I betcha it makes the next (un armed) vehicle look pretty good. I know I have a bicycle lock from about the same period and it seems
pretty flimsy and junky, but compared to a bike without a lock, mebbe it does seem a challenge, to a thief, to find easier pickings

Then again maybe you don't need to keep an honest person honest
