I recently had to install a medeco on an aluminum door and frame. the strike on the door (around the bolt) and the one on the frame needed to be mortised. the door was aluminum with styrofoam inside. The frame aluminum and hallow inside. there was nothing for the screws to grab on the bolt strike.. used a piece of metal on the door strike for screws to grab and dremeled the frame strike mortise .. just wondering what the proper way would be.. Thanks
