High end picks wanted.

As some of you may already know, I've been a locksmith for nearly 20 years. I never kept track of how many locks I've picked but I'm sure it's in the thousands. All this picking has been done with the same pick set, the first and only pick set I ever bought nearly 20 years ago. Over the years, some have been broken and replaced and some I never bothered replacing. Some of those picks were re-purposed and some are home brewed. I'm a heavy tensioner, so all the original tension wrenches broke and now I only use my homemade wrenches. A lot of memories and stories are stashed in that zippered leather case, but today, while eating my lunch, I was looking through a HPC catalog and found that my pick set is still available and, man, I didn't remember how many tools there were in that set. Mine looks pathetic now in comparison, so I decided it's time to upgrade.

So here's what I'm looking for guys: The best. The ultimate quality set. The pick set that puts all other pick set to shame. Top end. La creme de la creme...

Fire away with what you think would fit the bill.
Oh! I almost left out the best part: -Money is NOT an issue- but it must be practical, I don't need diamonds or gold but I'd like it to be visually pleasing too.

Thanks guys, I'm listening.

M.

Re: High end picks wanted.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Peterson slenders as they're now far too thin at .015 inches. The normal sized Peterson picks (.025) I would personally consider the best mainstream produced tools as their strength is phenomenal. Aside from that... HPC would be my 2nd choice. As far as the "creme de la creme"... nothing beats a homebrew pick from a skilled pick maker made from high quality strong metal. Better get ready to burn a hole in your wallet, you're probably looking at a large sum of cash for a custom made full set of tools to fit your needs, depending on what you need.

No kidding! Don't have any of his picks (can't afford them yet, too busy buying locks), but his picks qualify as pure, unadultered lock porn.

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.

Unfortunately, I have no recommendations for you, but I will say this...
you are UNDOUBTEDLY more than deserving of a new one! lol
Hope you find a beautiful set that serves you for another 20.
