Re: LSS+ sexiness

That's a healthy bunch of info! A couple of things in that list caught my eye... thumbturn tools for one thing, I have a thumbturn cylinder on its way so I'm definately gonna make one of those to see how well they really work. I'll have to remind myself to get some wire next time I go into town!

The other thing is the "profile cylinder breaker" - I didn't think those were too common in the US. I've seen a couple of different tools for breaking cylinders, one of which was so simple you just have to love it. It's essentially just a metal bar with a cutout in the shape of a cylinder on one end lol... all you have to do is fit it over the bit which protrudes out of the door nice and tight, then wiggle till it snaps. Is this the same kind of thing mentioned in DAME or is it the screw-in tool?

Yeah, from what I hear the thumbturn tools work pretty well. If I'm not mistaken they should also work in cylinders which have a key in the other side... after all, the cam is engaged by the key in much the same way. I'll test it out on a bunch of cylinders with keys in one side and report my findings.

Re: LSS+ sexiness

I have herd that that is true... but I have no euro cylinders with keys :( and all the cylinders to rooms are thumbturns... Ill have to see if I can get a key to one of the internet cafes... or bathrooms and test it.

Re: LSS+ sexiness

That's a pity. Thankfully only one of mine has no keys; it means there's a nice healthy selection for me to test. I'll post my findings in the bypass section.
