S&G Combo Padlock

I have recently purchased these 2 padlocks. They are w/o combinations. There has to be a way to open these through manipulation of exploiting tolerances. I know there aer over 100,000 possible combinations for these, but perhaps there's a cafe cracker amongst us that can give me some tips or point out where to drill a window to see the wheel pack. Thanks all! <---------SOUR

Have you tried the default combo, 0-0-0-0?

Or try the combination 25-0.

They've been set to a true combination apparently. Factory combo doesn't work. I got these for $3 each so this is going to be a pet-project of mine. Im not going to try every possible combo though. That would take forever!

Check out the cutaways that ElbowMacaroni did for me a while back. They are quite spiffy:

Looking at the cutaways, these may use the Bras Disks, meaning you could try the (clichéd) stethoscope method?

Yeah that's the default. Not sure where I got 0-0-0-0.

Lol. I still tried it. I believe if it was 0-0-0-0 then you would just turn it 4 times until it hit 0, then it would unlock. But alas, it's going to put up more of a fight than that.

that lock new retails for about $400 and was at one time GSA rated. Do you have any information on manipulation, or have you ever tried? If not your only other option is a scope hole to the best of my knowledge. If I were you I would make one a cutaway then practice manipulation with it and try to open the other. Would be a fun project and could result in some additional talent.

It retailed for $400!!! Oh my Gawd! I like your idea. I think I'll drill a hole in it some where and look at the wheel pack. Then I'll turn it into a cutaway and pactice with it. Im also going to buy an OEM change key. So that would be cool to have especially with a cutaway. Thank you very much everyone! You have given me some great ideas.

you can drill out the 4 steel retaining pins and it should just fall apart
