S&G Environmental Identifying?

Heys guys,

Picked up a S&G environmental recently~ but I am a bit confused as it is a bit different than the ones I have seen online.

Here are some things I am confused about:

1. The key has 4 digits, and is not in the classic format (i.e. "101")

2. There are no Numbers stamped on the top or on the side.

3. The cuts on the key look to be more than just 0, 45, 90.

4. It does not say "Made in the USA" on the bottom

Thanks for any insight!

That is the "civilian" version of the lock. It has more cuts and more depths than the railroad version.

Ohhhh!

Ok cool! Any idea how many possible cuts the civilian version can have?

Thanks!

I've wondered if it is possible to mod this lock with extra discs and turn it into an Abloy-nian picking nightmare. Possible?

I'm curious to know for certain if this is a 4-disc or a 5-disc. I believe it to be 4, with the small tab at the bottom of the key not actually turning a disc, but actually just there for key retention. You'll note that it's narrower than the other cuts, which is why I suspect this.

yeah you could, the spacers in that lock are huge.... from time to time I think about modding mine :)

here is a pic of the internals of a RR one

I don't have too much experience with disc style locks~

From the look of the key I posted~ how many discs are in there?
