Medeco 951 cylinder

I've got a Medeco cylinder that looks like it goes into a S&G 951 or perhaps other S&G locks. I would like to install it in some other padlock. Does anybody know if there are other padlock bodies that will accept this size of cylinder? I wanted to stick it in a Schlage deadbolt but I couldn't figure out how to fab a tailpiece. Any ideas?

Re: Medeco 951 cylinder

If it goes to a 951 there will be a screw retaining a rod on the back of the plug. If not it goes into an 833.

If you want to put it into anything else you will need to fabricate the correct tailpiece. It would be easier to buy the correct Medeco KIK to go into the deadbolt.

No screw, but it looks just like the cylinder in flywheels post on his 951.

The 833 and 951 cores are both green. If yours does not have the screw then it is for the 833 padlock.

3 keys and a restricted keyway? Save it for a compatible padlock. If you want to experiment with hardware get on ebay and go nuts. Great deals to be found every week. S&G military padlock cores cost much more than comparable parts.

This is the military core for a S&G 833 US military padlock.
Mess with the best, die like the rest!

I search: All magnetic locks, Trioving locks, MIWA, Xylok, MAXiS, AVA Wafer Lock, teicocil, S&G 951, ...
I have: Swiss locks like Sea, kaba and keso, Miracle magnetic lock and some more
