Medeco question

So I have a Medeco mortise cylinder that I had apart and while putting it all back together I got the pins lined up to the sidebar. I raked it before I picked it but it seems it just popped a little too quickly. How do I get the pins out of rotation?

Just rake the hell out of the pins with a short hook. Make sure you lift while doing this. Angle your pick back and forth while lifting+scrubbing.

It can not possibly be this easy. I did just as you said. I angled my pick back and forth and scrubbed the shit out of it. Then did your CCW method and popped it open again. I need another lock because this seems too good to be true.

Put your pick in to the back, lift it to the top, pull it out while angling pick left/right. Repeat 5-10 times. Then try it again.

Thanks for the help. It's back so that I can't pick it again! Now I know if I get it it is the real deal and it will feel great.

Oh thank goodness! I hate it when the locks don't put up a decent fight.

***takes tongue out of cheek***

But I understand what you mean.

if you have some old keys that fit the keyway, you could just scrub with those too..
just sayin....
