Different Models of Medeco

I am going to start getting into these for picking and one of the main questinos I have is what is the difference in all the models? I hear biaxial, classic, etc, and the other day I even saw a model that didn't have the slanted pins!! Could someone explain all of these models, it actually seems to be an argument at times on what is what!
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

Re: Different Models of Medeco
I don't see alot of difference, the M3 has the slider, the biaxial has the Arx pins. Same concept all the way across really. Thanks Hallis.

Re: Different Models of Medeco
the only difference between the m3 and the biaxial is the slider(which is easily bypassed)
there are other styles... the bilevel and the cam lock
but they arnt so secure

Re: Different Models of Medeco
Somewhere once I had a Medeco vending machine lock, It only had key pins, no drivers just springs. The pins were the slanted type though.

Re: Different Models of Medeco
that is true...(what do you meen slanted type)
in the cam locks the pins must be lifted and rotated but instead of having a channel that is exploited by the medecoder, it has a hole. a little hole drilled in it that thesidebars pegs(nots slats) drop in.
make sence? ill try and get some pictures

fore and aft(this was added with the biaxial and continued through the m3)
the original has pins that point fight in the middle.
fore pins point twords the front
and aft pins point twords the back...

Is the bilevel the one without the chisel tip pins?

Re: Different Models of Medeco
Biaxial started the chisel point tips... they contined thru M3 and Bilevel

Yep..
Low security that takes an M3 key. All the pins are in the AFT position. The lock is drilled differently.
So no need for the chisel tip. There is a sidebar, but it is just held by the slider at the front. Medeco admits these are low security.
