"X" Cut Purpose - Medeco

Hello,

I am a new locksmith for a school district and learning things as I go and trying to clean up the mess that was left behind from before me. In learning key codes I keep coming across keys that have an "X" cut. Can someone please tell me the purpose for this cut?

Re: "X" Cut Purpose - Medeco

the only thing I can think of is .015 half step classic
Half = Full
0 = 1
1
2 = 2
3
4 = 3
5
6 = 4
7
8 = 5
9
X = 6
