i think i might have messed up at work today? help please if

ok so i was keying a bunch of kwikset deadbolts and knobs and i had to put master pins in both (about 4 deads and 4 nobs) and some of the master pins were size 1. the once i was done another employee checked my work and asked if i put any size 1 master pins in it...i said no(but i really did) and the costumer was please with the work, payed and left. i later ask why i shouldnt use size 1 master pins and he said it was because that they could slip on in the side of the chamber in the cylinder. is that common or uncommon? will the costumer have to come back in a few weeks or months because i did such a thing? please help...

p.s. the size 1 master pins were made for a reason...so they prob shouldnt slip.

With Kwikset you don't have to worry about 1 MPs inside the locks as they have a larger increment than Schlage unless the plug was really worn out!

When masterkeying Schlage the MPs would be 2 or higher!

I'm sure your using a pinning kit at work! Unless it's really old, it should have the manufacturer's specifications on BP, MP, and TP sizes! And the increment of depth listed!

But to be honest with you, alot of locksmiths don't know how to masterkey properly! They just get two keys and make it work! That is not proper masterkeying! Just putting my 2 cents in for what it's worth!
You leave my GRAPHITE alone!!!
