Brinks Mini Disc

So yeah, I've got a Brinks Mini Disc and it's giving me hell. Like, even with the key it requires insane force, even after lubing it up. I just can't set it. I've tried raking and SPPing, and a mixture of the two, but no dice.

Any suggestions?

Edit: I got it on tape and pwned as of 06/06/08

what kind of tension wrench are you using? riged or twist flex, cuz it's really difficuld to feel those pins witha twist flex, imo

I've tried the two I have. One is a twist flex and the other is a plain tension wrench just bent in a funny way as to keep it up and out of the way. It's quite rigid. I just can't get anything out of it. I don't know if I should use more tension or what.

yes, use heavy tension on the mini disk. otherwise when picked you will not have enough force to move the shackle spring... :)

I could never single pin pick it - but I could rake it with a City Rake.

It does need heavy tension - almost have to put a death grip on it.

USMC has a video on Youtube - and so do I.

It may help.

Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll use my not so important picks for it then. :P

Another fine example.

The Foley-Belsaw picks are actually ILCO picks. Those are the type that are meant to be used in a plastic interchangeable handle. In your case though, I seriously recommend some sand paper.

I know you were joking, but your picks are going to be there very soon. Although I did learn a lesson the other day.

Don't grind picks and talk to your kids at the same time. You will burn picks.

Good job on the lock.

Lol, yeah, sand paper would be nice, but hell Ducktape is fine by me. First thing I did was re-wrap that baby. :P I tell ya what though, that's not the first time it's happened and honestly, there's no need for it in the first place. I know the best way to learn is from experience, but you'd think that since Foley-Belsaw is a bit reputable they'd maybe hand a little bit of a warning your way. :P

Oh, and Romstar, check your PM's.
