Abloy Protec factory cutaway

Got this nice factory cutaway on Ebay. I think it was about $50.

I can't believe how well made this lock is. Very smooth and precise. No slop in any of the pieces. Very nice.

The keys might all look alike, but there are small differences in their shape.

The sidebar that actually locks the lock. It is directly above the keyway. When all the disks line up, it can drop into notches and let the plug turn.

Here you can see the bars that are part of the disk blocking system and all the little teeth on the disks.

Here the key is in the lock and it has been turned, the disks are blocked from turning and the lock is ready to be opened.

See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

Re: Abloy Protec factory cutaway

I also have one of these.
they do come up on ebay semi often if ur looking for one...

they arnt cheap I think i got mine for around 50 aswell. if you consider that to buy an abloy from a store is around the same price its not too bad of a price...but for ebay its a bit lol
(oddly the only cutaways I have are abloys lol)
but they are worth it, sooo cool
