Very well written and informative document. Even though my understanding of Abloy locks is, at this time, fairly limited, I was able to follow your descriptions and, more importantly, come out the other end of the document with a better understanding of the challenges faced and the techniques used to overcome those challenges.

Also, I have a lot of respect for people who hear, "It's impossible!" and don't interpret it as absolute fact, but as a challenge.

Yes, it had to be a real word too for it to work! It can also mean to surgically remove tissue or to weather rock through erosion, as well as your definition. In this case, the surgical tissue removal is the intended definition.
