abloy 428 key.jpg
abloy 428 levers.jpg
Abloys whole double bitted key lever system his based on this 8 lever system.
The bolt his in the middle of the levers, 4 levers both sides.
Open this,youve opened them all.
The pic. shows the stump in the open position, when locked the stump will line up vertical with the middle of the keyway.
The keys are not cut in the centre, this throws the bolt.

It used to be Boda 428, I think they only changed the name.
Those, Boda & Abloy, are the most common secundary locks on Finnish doors. There is an Abloy (Classic, Profile, Exec, or Sento) that you use daily, and a lever lock to add security. As if anyone would pick the other lock.
But if you manage to pick this, you still haven´t picked them all. Search for Abloy Bodaguard. It has angeled levers, so its supposed to be even harder to pick.
Nice find tho!

So theres two other abloys that dont share the same profile, ones a abloy bodaguard and the other his a abloy sento.
and the boda guard as angled levers, still eight or not ?
thanks for the info a picture would be nice of these and the levers.
Or are they the 451 smp and 451s. or sl 900 and sl901, Because they all still have 8 levers and have the bolt in the middle.
The only two abloy boda locks that have the extra, lock on top are 451s and 451smp.

Most of the leverlocks we have here are separate locks just like your Abloy, these are installed maybe 20-30cm above the "everyday lock".
I didn´t even know about 451s etc. but as a keymaker I look more at the keyway/profile than the actual locking mechanism.
The keys of these leverlocks have mirrored cuts on each side of the key so you can use it from both sides of door. Just like Juwel.
About profiles; The older Boda leverlocks have 2 different blanks, the warding can be on either side of the key. 3 different lenghts of both. These fit Abloys like yours too.
Don´t really know about Bodaguard, I think I read somewhere there are 2 keyways. 8 levers, yes, but they can somehow tilt or something...
Sento is way different, its like Exec with a couple of extra grooves. There must be atleast 4 profiles for each.
Didn´t find any good info about Bodaguard, we need a welthy hobbyist to buy one and take it apart.

How are you picking that ringo, with a 2 in 1 or just with 2 x 'L' shaped wires?

There are self impressioning tools for these locks. (not bodaguard tho)
A Finnish lockie advertised that they now open allso Boda leverlocks non-destructively, so I googled for it:

Can those tools not be home made? I'm really interested in seeing how a self impressioning tool for lever locks work!
