DOM D

not totally sure if youd consider the DOM D a high security lock but i like it so... there ;P

ill start with the guts... 10 pins... some odd stuff in there ;)

notice the lil ball... its magnetic... and some masterpins... i think... and the mushroomed keypins...

some pins have metal rods in em... the rods only show at the top of the keypins and the bottom of the driver pins... idk whats up with that

now all doms have teardrop shaped pins and curved sheerlines.. this makes sure that when you put the key in all the pins are ligned up the right way, if a pin rotates 180 and you put the key in, it wont open cause the sheerline is actually curved

oddly these are the guts of a dom d... but i neglected to take pix of the keyway lol... but there ya go...

Re: DOM D

Thank you very much for the great pictures! I have been waiting for someone taking one apart. It is really interesting to see what is inside. It looks like they have used everything they could find :-)

Now you should put it back together and pick it without the master pins :-)
