Did you remove the rotating cover and stick something in the hole? Do tell.

Sorry to necro-post, but I was under the impression these were really top end stuff. We have them at a where I work, they gave me a cylinder to play with, I can't cut it up unfortunately as it's not mine, but I've tried electromagnets to no avail (on the lock at least, seemed to make a mess of anything else it touched though), and was considering sniffing the data traffic between the key and the lock, but I'm guessing this is not the technique used.
