I read about that on Wired... He was saying that if the police take him in, they will kill him. (Why wasn't very clear to me...)

My personal experience with the Mexican police : Corruption is a way of life, the more money you have the more you are able to pay. Keep in mind Mexico/ Central America is NOT the United States (USA) and the US constitution is not even a consideration.
