There is frequent babble from this administration about the need to
provide "entitlements" and other "important" government services.
All of these programs cost money from your pocket.- money for "services"
the taxpayers "get".

What is so darn wrong about letting the working people keep their
money in the first place- individuals can buy the services THEY feel
are needed or important- rather than taking people's money in taxes
and "giving it back" in the form of services the government says you
should have ?

my whole life iv been paying vat , some things are zero rated here , some are exempt and some are upto 50% vatable!!!

its not that bad , if your really clever you can get out of it legally , its just a bit of a mission:)

But TAX is "fair" because it works on the more you earn the more you pay , soo for example if you earn a billion dollars a year , you will pay more in TAX compared to someone who earns 10,000USD a year ...because you technically have more money and you can "afford it"

VAT however is not a "fair" tax , because if a billion air buys something or a Begger on the side of the street both of them will have to pay the SAME amount soo in proportion VAT is not proportionate to anything its just a slapped on percentage of the cost!

with a normal tax the rich people pay for 90% of the countries tax , wile VAT everyone pays the same and it can land up that the poor people pay more vat than rich people...

soo in essence all vat does is rob people of their cash without any regard to how much money they actually have!

you need a licence for just about everything....... t.v licence, fishing licence,bike licence,council tax, car tax, if you work in an enviroment with more than 2 workers AND YOU HAVE THE RADIO ON....... you now need a licence to listen to it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont get me going...........ive just paid for an order from over sea's and now they have slapped me with £75.00 customes charges - this country pisses me off.... You can earn the money but if the tax man gets wind ! he'll take the lot and send you bust ...

Yep. That's right Porky, no VAT...yet. But we will if the Head Socialist In Charge has his way.

Personally, I think taxes in general and our tax code in particular, are both fundamentally unfair. I do understand that some taxes are necessary for public services (police, fire, etc.)

But the idea that an illegal alien can break the law and sneak into this country, drop a kid on US soil and then automatically avail themselves of public assistance (i.e. welfare, free school, etc) sticks in my craw.

And then, couple that with the millions of other low achieving sack-draggers that grew up in a welfare culture - whose main goal in life is to get on unemployment or welfare - and ride that gravy train for life...well, that gets a little irksome.

And when we get mandatory healthcare forced on us - with criminal penalties for not purchasing the "officially approved" health insurance, multi-billion dollar bailout of the auto industry, another multi-billion dollar bailout of the bad mortgages that were issued by the banks to people with no credit history - and no collateral, and $100 BILLION in tax increases in the upcoming years - hell yes, I'm pissed.

How can you possibly bring a budget deficit DOWN...by spending going UP to fund more and more bailouts?

Every time the gov't screws up - the people that actually produce labor and generate profits - get punished for it in the form of new taxes. Screw that.

I despise these politicians, who wrap themselves in the flag, and then screw us on a daily basis and show us nothing but contempt, while gorging on my hard earned tax dollars.
