Re: torrent

I use a program called torrent harvester in addition to those mentioned above.

Torrent harvester suposedly scans a number of torrent sites all at once which I find usefull.

Just a friendly reminder from your resident IT geex0r to DISABLE UPLOADING on your bit-torrent client as that is how ISPs can nail you. They can't get you on downloading.

Or you can use a program such as peer guardian or peerblock. I forget the one I'm using now, I'm on my laptop. You get the idea though. For people that dont know, it blocks you from connecting to know IP's that are bogus. There are no guarentees though. Your protection is only as strong as your "list". It should update automatically though. I choose not to disable uploading because it effects my download speed......... BUT torrents or a thing of the past for me. I use giganews+newsleecher...it's about as easy as using google...and if you use giganews accelerrator(free with giganews) what you download is all encrypted...You get FULL download speeds...You are not at the mercy of seeders anymore....the only bad part is that it costs me about 30 bucks a month.

:hbg:

OH besides that IMO that Demonoid.me is the best out there. All the torrents are clean (of viruses). But you have to be invited. They open memberships up everyonce in a while for the hell of it. Just keep checking back. They do it alot of times for the hell of it around christmas time...
