It appears TeamViewer has been compromised, lots of people have had people connect and drain paypal accounts and make large purchases of giftcards on amazon and eaby. Probably a good idea to uninstall teamviewer and check any PayPal/Ebay/Amazon accounts.

Via the grapevine, the consensus hasn’t yet been reached whether this is something to do with TeamViewer itself (compromise/exploitation of the software) or (and this seems far more likely) password reuse from recent data breaches.

That said, I wouldn’t touch TeamViewer with a 10" pole if I could help it, to begin with.
