That's one big ol' chopper knife. I don't own any Grayman's, but I have a few users with the "good enough" finish and I like it. I mean really, does shiny help it chop? The fact that it doesn't have a final finish or fancy fittings makes people more willing to beat the hell out of 'em. The other main reason people let them sit on a shelf, is they don't want to sharpen it. Understandably so, that's a big blade. He does it for free, he'll replace it if you manage to break it, and the warranty isn't a piece of paper that comes with the knife. It is the knife. You could pay more for a fancier looking production blade, but regular use isn't often covered by a production warranty. To get all the value out of this american handmade, you have to use it. I can dig it.

Ok, so I gave in and looked at thier site... I dig the look of that Monkton Churchkey! Definitley outta my budget at the moment, but that's some impressive steel they got there.
