DIY Sheath mod

Hey guys, I know I don't get on much been living life and working hard. Been doing a lot of outdoor/survival stuff and selling knifes. Thought I'd show you all a cheap little 15 minute sheath mod for a firestarter. I know my sewing job is ugly but it gets the job done. Used an old piece of ACU and some nanocord for sewing.

Nothing special and it's a cheap Mtech knife but these guys are great for training and will take a beating I just wanted to add a firesteel to it so when I let someone I'm training use it they have a one stop shop. I like to teach knife only survival, nothing serious just walk out in the woods chop down some dead trees start a fire build a shelter and go home. Kinda like day camp for adults and kids to learn and the fact I've got $10 invested in this knife and fire starter no harm if it gets lost.

Nicely done.

I haven't heard of Mteck knives. Just spent a few mins. going through them to find the one in your pic.

Nice looking blade. Perfect shape and only $10. I'd get one but I haven't seen them over here.

I have an acquaintance that got the bear Grills survival knife --- what a POS. Outrageous price $80. Steel is pretty average.

I thought the sheaf was nice with the flint and diamond hone but it started to split down the side. The only thing I can say is that it would be better than nothing in a survival situation.

Thanks for the idea and I'll keep a look out for Mtech knives over here. Like guns, you can't have too many knives LOL.

Mtechs are cheap china knives, but the fixed blade ones like this are pretty much a chunk of metal with an edge so they do hold up quite well, not the best knife but it works.
