Re: Hello from Florida

It's too bad Florida's so huge. 65,000 miles^2 approximately. To put that in perspective, England is about 93000 miles^2. Aside from the one other guy who actually lives in Sarasota (same city), everyone on this site from FL seems to live at least a few hours apart.

We are still superior to everyone from everywhere else, though. Vastly superior.

Hmmn, you're partially right cyrano... but that really only applies to folks on the gulf side of the state (with the exception of two areas on the east coast [ Cape Canaveral and St. Augustine ].)

Re: Hello from Florida

Well Sillysota is only about an hour from me... but yeah, it is a very large state much to most people's surprise.

Re: Hello from Florida

As far as that keyway goes, it is a very common keyway and is quite easy to navigate with a standard short hook. Just a matter of getting used to it. I know that style of keyway intimidated be due to the curve at the top when I first began picking; however, I quickly adapted to turning the pick as I lifted to accommodate the curvature and it worked right as rain. No biggie... really... you'll get the hang of it soon and then wonder what all the trepidation and wondering what special tool might be needed was all about!

At the time I posted this, I was unable to open a Brinks Marine Maximum Security padlock which i picked the most difficult key-code they had in the store. I need the right tool to maneuver in the lock to be able to pick the tiny 1/8" tight curvy keyway.

Agreed one hundred percent. Happy birthday, by the way!
