Hello form Northeast Ohio. My buddy has two old safes no combo. I have been studying manipulation on youtube but will need guidance i am sure. If I can open them I can have one. Meilink Safe company safes. Tim

That is a great project, especially now! In this forum are a few Meilink safes shown. Some of them do have Center Mfg. locks. If yours has it too it will be very easy to manipulate.

Here is pics of safe. When I turn handle there is no drag on dial. Does this mean this not a straight tailpiece

My advice is to shut this thread down and concentrate on the other one, if you're trying to take info/instruction from 2 threads it will become quite difficult.
There's no real need to have 2 threads the same anyway and it's often seen as bad forum etiquette.
