Hello from Canada

Hello everyone! I'm the FNG, obviously. Been a mechanic for a few decades now, mainly cooling & heating & controls. Started lock picking about a year ago now. Got kind of good at it too. I've made a few pick's and to my surprise they worked. I found this to be a useful asset to my every day work cause sometimes the boiler room key gets lost, or that control panel that has never been opened before. Nice to have options! I enjoy camping, knife throwing, going to the range and reloading. Anyway, thanks for having me!
Re: Hello from Canada

On a side note, I also like hiking and camping, throwing knives and shooting guns So awesome living so close to the wild.
Enjoy! and look forward to seeing you in the threads!

Welcome fellow Canadian!
I've been living in Alberta for almost 20 years but came here from La Belle Province.
Lots of great people here, all eager to help and learn, quite the community you now belong to, you'll love it.
I also enjoy camping and the great outdoors in general. I'm also a shooter but mostly shoot air rifles, I have a nice little collection of
high end air rifles with which I partake in the discipline of Field Target. Lots of fun!
Great to have you on board!

Welcome to the forum!
I'm from Alberta as well, but my family escaped over the border in a homemade hot air balloon, back during the Trudeau administration in the 70s. While I'm firmly rooted in the USA now, I still have strong feelings of solidarity with my brothers still caught behind the Ice Curtain. Fight on, eh!

Welcome from another Canadian (from Alberta but transplanted to Ontario)

Welcome from Toronto.
It's a rather useful skill if you are dealing with nuisance locks (the ones where you're authorized, nobody else would care to get in, and you're in a hurry without the keys). I prefer not to do it to locks in use (I'll get that 1 in a million exploding lock), but honestly, most "nuisance locks" are stuff someone bought on sale at Lowe's or Home Depot.
It's also great hobby if you're mechanically inclined and like puzzles, like me.
