It’s been locked for ten years and I really want to use it. Hopefully I’ll be able to put a post up about it soon :)

Welcome to the forum. I think you'll get about the same answers here as you did on LP101.

Welcome Stephen. I jumped over to LP to look at your photos of this safe. Damn, that looks like a very serious safe. I'm not at all familiar with Chubb, so there's not much I can say. But I will add this: IF some time goes by and you're unable to open it, you've exhausted your options, and, you're more financially sound to where you're considering paying for an opening.... look into what the overall value for a safe like that is. I'd imagine it's a lot. This will help put a safe tech's fee in a better light - will feel more like an investment. Now I'm not saying $2000+ is fair or not (I dunno)... all I'm saying is that whatever a fair price for opening is, it's gotta be a hell-of-alot less than the price of the safe that you'll now have in working order. Congrats on such a find!

I hear ya there! I'm not much with technology either, lol.
That's one of the many reasons I love this forum though -
they're not CONSTANTLY changing things on me!

There's a number of websites I've just given up on for this reason. They were always "making it better". Ahhh! Every time I'd finally get to a point where I could navigate it, they'd re-vamp the entire thing. Here on the dark-side, they understand the the concept of "If it's not broke, don't fix it!!". So feel free to familiarize yourself and start posting.

Hello, I'm a newbie to locksport, retired, older than dirt, trying to keep my fingers limber. I enjoy Spp but my old kuckles and fingers like racking better. Lol no ambition to do this professionally just having fun.
