AK-47 vs American 1105

I thought you guys might like this. I have an old american lock that I screwed up a long time ago when I first started picking and did not know what I was doing.. My curious nature got the best of me and I took it apart to see how things worked in there...Well needless to say I screwed it up. I messed up one of the springs and lost a pin. I took it out last night to take it apart again, since now I know what I'm doing. I took out ALL of the pins and springs and closed the shackle thinking that the key would turn it....It will not turn at all. Still cant figure out why it wouldnt. I took a screwdriver to it and tried to turn it and ended up messing up the keyway and warding....It was messed up and so I deceided to see what an AK round would do to it. Here are the results. My first shot was with the lock facing forward (american label towards me) and it hit in the lower right corner. I was not pleased with this. I wanted a center shot. I was shooting about 5 feet away from the lock the next shot was hit about where I wanted...just above dead center...and although it looks like an exit wound....it was a frontal shot..i think it blew outwards like that because of the close range, and parts of the lock the round came in contact with.....Dont try this at home kids. LMAO..... Enjoy the pictures.
OH I also threw in a bragging picture of one of my TV's while I was posting pictures. It's a projector screen I built for my HD projector (110inch screen) :D . AK-47 is in the picture for scale.

Have you given any thought to putting a folder on it? Also is this a preban? If not you need to get all of the US made compliant parts for it: fire control group, stock, mag, etc

This guy has good deals on parts: http://www.milsurpstuff.com/categories.asp?cat=47

It's preban. Are you telling me that I would need to start downgrading parts on my gun hallis if it wasnt ?? lol....I'm not sure if I'm understanding here. I've never heard of that before. If I'm understanding right it sounds like more bullshit to give gun owners the biggest pain in the ass possible. It's preban, but I heard someone say that they wouldnt start destroying and changing things anyway.
