How to service door locks

Hey Guys,

I got these to to service. Just thought I'd show them.

An old Weiser and an old russwin. No spoiler yet please :)

remove the :circlip:
Then remove the round thing.

Knob is free. Pick the lock.

Pull and twist.
insert follower.

Kwiksets are easy! You pick it up, study it closely, turn it around study it even closer, walk over to the corner and rather aggressively toss it in the trash.

Yep the cylinder. The faceplate of the knob should pop off when you have the spindle (long square parts)removed.

Actually I'm not sure how you managed to remove the spindle like that.

The cylinder seem to be part of the knob

and both the end of the plug and the spindle have threads.
