Re: Omegared video

That's cool, I haven't seen many tubular locks picked that way. I've never got to play with an actual tubular pick so that is the only method I've ever been able to use. Lucky you only had to pick that lock once too, not that it gave you any trouble, you did that pretty damn fast. Did you make that tension wrench or buy it? Any details on it? I made a similar one but yours seems to be a better design (and finish).

yeah, i haven't seen a wrench with that design yet. i've got both the hpc tubular picks and home made tension wrenches from templates that i found on lp101 and keypicking. i like the shape, it looks as though it's pretty universal.

Re: Omegared video

the tension wrench it's homemade, i have only three different tubular lock and it work on all of that, the tool have two part, one for the big and other for the little, from my experience on the tubular lock, i try always when is possible to make the tool as universal as possible, in fact my homemade set is so poor but work very well, i don't think we need a lot of tool for open many locks, but just the right tool well made, for this reason i don't buy any set
if you are interested i can post one picture of the wrench............just ask if you want to see clear
thanks for the interest

I'd be interested. I was going to try to make one from a video still but a picture would be better. :D

Man, your video makes me realize I really want some of these to play with! I've never tried a tubular lock because I thought you had to have a tubular pick. Thanks for the great video!

The Tubular locks in the USA don't work like this one. you actually have to turn the core clockwise, and may have to pick it several times before it gets fully turned if you don't use a tubular pick.
but this wouldn't be a bad lock to have and play with ! :)
