Im getting there man, im getting there..............still having trouble with the 2250d though, for some reason i cant seem to crack it as often as i like. Just got my vice too, so going to be trying a bit of static picking. And hopefully i'll get my little Majestic set in the letterbox tommorrow, courtesy of Uklockpickers 8-)

I was looking at the majestic too - thought they were the same as HPC!
Are they not ment for US type keyways, tho - not a bad thing but ya might find some of the UK (Ireland) and small padlocks a struggle – tight! :shock:

Should go for slimline, HPC, Southord or Peterson...
From what I can gather:
#1 EVERYONE loves Peterson’s.
#2 Most pros rate HPC
#3 Southord are great all rounder’s

Heres the vice i got ....still from Maplin and the same price but not a suction one. Fits nicely on my computer table. Was looking at the peterson set a while ago and do like them ......also like the Southord.......but then i like a whole lot of stuff,but the wallet doesnt stretch that far at the moment.

Next purchase will probably be the Dimple pick set ....i fancy a go on the dimple locks. Solomon had a pic of the Goso dimple set and he say's that they are fine so probably go for that. Majestic never turned up this morning so looks like tommorrow .....god i hate the irish postal service lol.

That vice looks okay and for only 11 quid, can’t be too bad. What ya think, any good?
I remember about 25 years ago, my dad had a similar one without the swivel, only it was a bit more beat up!
Seemed okay at the time but I knew nothing about tools back then. Might get one of those.

Yeah, dimple picks, gotta be done – huh! All part of the game and it seems the lock type is taking off.
The pros make pickin em look a piece o piss. Get the feeling it ain’t that straight forward tho.

You have to get a disc detainer pick too, got mine for £10!
and a small cheap disc lock from the pound shop - never guess how much it cost!

The vice is ok.......only slight downfall is the swivel part came a bit loose, but managed to tighten a nut underneath and its sweet as a nut. Just got to bloody well pick something in it.............aint as easy as i thought.

Playing with the Iseo euro type lock at the moment, keep getting false set but by christ them pins need some pushing to get in place after that. But got a good result on the master padlock today ........picked it straigh 9 times no problemo ........and tommorrow it wont bleeding well open :lol:

Nice one mate! Took bloody ages but you nailed it lol... just kidding, not the easiest bitting on that one - and the first few times I picked one of those I was at it for a LONG time. Keep up the good work, you're learning fast. Oh, and nice tensioner too. Homemade is the best. :mrgreen:

Hahahaha not quick enough

. I was being too soft on the pins, they really need a bit of force to set them, unlike the master lock. Now i gotta buy another lock........any suggestions?

Sure, get one of those kitemarked Yale cylinders. Euro profile though, not mortise cylinder... the mortise is miles harder for some reason. I got one off ebay for like 7 quid brand new, which isn't bad at all.
