Funny you shoukd mention this :???:

Only yesterday there was a big BANG in my town just about everyone heard it most ppl thought it was a local oil refinery blast , but that wasnt the case !

It was loud enough to rattle not ( shatter ) glass/windows & also shake cars in some parts of town

Then ppl was takling about a SONIC BOOM
whats a sonic boom youn ask .. .. well ,, "nasadescribes a sonic boom as a thunder like noise that someone hears when an air craft or other type of aerospace vehicle flies faster than the speed of sound.
When an object passes through the air,it creates a series of presure waves in front of it and behind it,simalar to the way waves are created by a boat.
Ad the speed of the object increases, the waves are forced together and, because they cannot get out of the way of each other eventually merge into a single shockwave when the travelling object goes faster than the speed of sound"..

Any how it wasnt a sonic boom Lol the R.A.F confirmed no air craft was about at the time !.

Its a mystery to us,

Here is the local paper today with the story grabbing the headlines
