I tried this with some RFID tags a while ago and found them too thin and they tore easily,

maybe the DVD ones are stronger?

I've used these before and they do work, you just need to be careful.

Thanks for the tip xeo, I had just run out of feeler guages thin enough. This saved me a lot of time on that stuborn gummed up MR I wanted to gut and clean.

You'll find these stickers on other stuff too
I wrote a tutorial a while ago, but forgot to mention dvds
I think my tutorial was called "Poor man's shims"
