I just realized you can turn it around.

I'm thinking you can attach the tiniest flake of mirror to the dial and shine on it with a laser fixed to the safe or other surface. The mirror flake will not disturb the manipulation and the laser pointer and such can be attached however you want. The angle of the mirror should amplify plenty based on the dial. Hmm now I want to try that. Where is a disco ball when you need one :hammering:

I have seen on-tool mirror with off-tool laser so far only with lock picks. But this was only one mirror and not a disco ball. With a disco ball .... Party!!! :hbg:
