Glossary Page

I'm going to make a glossary page for newbies so that all of our terms and definitions are clear. I've started a page here.

Things like "TOK, Torsion wrench, Tension wrench, S-rake, city rake, c-rake, slim, standard, hook, feeler, diamond, half diamond, ward, short hook, medium hook, long hook, horizontal picking, top pin, key pin, serrated, tension, CCW, CW, bypass, shim and so on.

Terms that are "lingo" and that have other meanings in either plain speech or in different environments. I'll add pictures and videos as time goes on. For now, toss some terms at me if you will.

static means - Lacking in movement, action or change.

In a nutshell, picking a lock other than holding it in your hand, where it can't be swiveled, pivoted, shaken etc.

Picking a lock placed in a vice, or it being installed in a door or lock block will be considered that lock being picked static.

Hope this helps....

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...
