Re: need help: ressemably

Did the spring come off of the cam? or is it just that the cam won't go in with the ball bearings in place?if that's the case, what i like to do is put in the ball bearings, then pull on the shackle, which puts pressure on the bearings, and holds them in place, then just drop in the cam.

hope this helps.

Steve14, first of all a description of the lock would be a good start. What brand and model number of lock is it?

It's hard to diagnose the problem if you don't know who or what you are working on.

It's like asking a mechanic to fix your car - but you won't tell him what kind it is - except that it's a car.

Re: need help: ressemably

ok well i had the same problem but that piece did not break you can try looking around on the web to try to find another cam, but the one you have is totally screwd. i am not really sure but i think the master lock series 911 has the same cam. but i am not sure. oh and that core is a kwickset or a weiser

Re: need help: ressemably

Did part A come off of part B ? IF this is the case, you might actually be able to use part B still. I've removed that disc (part B) from the cam and spring on my master 930 and put it back together and it still works, so the cam is not necesarily broken since the disc (part B) and spring are seperated.

I figure I'll post this here. I took this lock apart and I can't put it back together (note to self VIDEO yourself taking stuff apart !!!!!!!) I hope someone here can help me put things in there place.

Pretty simple deadlatch system.

Don't be too worried about it, why can't you put it back together? I can see where most things go just from looking at it.

Abloy? you sure about that?

Can we get some pics of the cylinder by any chance?
