Re: wanted: good starter dimple lock

Not sure what your skill level is but the Baldwin KABA 8 are pretty tough. You could also try a Mul-T-Lock 5 pin-in-pin (not MT5+ that has the 5-slider sidebar).

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

I started with a CLUB steering wheel lock its either a 4 or 5 pin. you can get them cheap on the bay or from salvage yards.

Re: wanted: good starter dimple lock

I started with very cheap dimples with no security pins.

I don't know if xeo is joking, but a Pin-In-Pin system to start out would be a boner killer, unless you are at least half-xeo/half-human! If so, go for it!
If you are mortal just like the rest of us, it's probably too much to start out IMHO! :armed:

I don't know prices where you live, but I can get you 2 starter dimple locks for under 20$ (shipping included), maybe less.
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.
