Sargent Keso - not magnetic

Hey, Jeff.

Received the Majestic Magnetics lock stuff. Yes, the core is from a KESO, and don't know why it was in with the Majestic keying kit. The Majestic keys don't even fit in the keyway.

But then again, neither does the plug. It looks like the plug was pulled (without finesse) while at least one spring had dropped. Maybe I will take some emery cloth and see if I can salvage a Sargent. There are four (I originally thought three) parts... The plug, the normal KESO cylinder, the mortise shell, and a bushing that makes the KESO fit snugly into the mortise shell. It looks as if a pin or plug normally goes through the mortise shell and into the KESO shell, keeping it from spinning.

The keys are cool, though most have a rich patina. The keys are part of a keying kit for the Majestic Magnetic locks. Precut
bitting, and holes for the magnets, which are included. As are instructions, and the tool used to stake the magnets in place. In one of the two small boxes are the magnets. In the other small box are... The pins for the KESO! No springs, but beggars can't be choosers. Not sure if all the pins are present, but you can rest assured that I will check into it this weekend after I impression some keys for your padlocks.

Gotta get some sleep, my friend. Take care, and don't leave loose pins in your bed.
