Use very light top of the keyway tension, and I mean very light. Then carefully "scrub" the pins. You'll feel a few of them drop and the plug will rotate a few degrees. Keep scrubbing and soon the plug will rotate 15 degrees giving you the false set. Once you do that - just set the remaining pin(s) and you are done.

I was having trouble getting false set on mine as well, Thanks for the advice, HC!
Gonna give it a try later this evening again. Still haven't opened those yet hehe.

Re: American 1105 help?
aye thanks for the reply i have been trying to make a top of keyway wrench but the damn thing keeps falling Out on me
Re: American 1105 help?
I think it was awol who experimented with puting serrations on the tok wrench to add grip. I've tried myself on my own tok homebrews with minimal luck hehe.
I'm thinking after the holidays are done and over maybe I'll get ahold of awol and order myself the real deal so to speak
... almost forgot... if yer tok is a homebrew, make sure that the (tooth?) is just long enough to fit snug in the keyway but not so long that it connects the first pin. I had that problem with mine when I first made one, and had to shorten it a great deal.
Hope that helps some!
