BOLT Locks - Locks code themselves to first key used

Check this out:

http://www.boltlock.com/how-it-works

A product line of utility locks (padlock, cable lock, trailer hitch lock, truck bed toolbox lock) that have an automotive style wafer cylinder that will code themselves to whatever key is first used in them.

Judging by the 'How it Works' video, seems similar to what Kwikset SmartKey is doing.

The video didn't explain the how and why of it's inner workings very well... has anyone taken one apart yet?

I have not seen anything about them besides this post, But I have seen the locks at part source... might have to swing by and pickup one :akimbo:
(17:44:28) HAL 9000 Sez: LockSport is full of children who throw fits because low priced low security products sold in discount department stores do not meet their arbitrary expectations.
