10 Blade Tumbler vs. F/Blade Tumbler?

If this is in the wrong topic, my apologize.

First: It seems to me that wafer tumbler and blade tumber are the same thing. Am I mistaken?

Second, and my real question: What's the difference between a 10 blade tumbler and an "F/Blade" or "F Blade" tumbler? I understand what the 10 blade is; but I have no clue what an F-blade tumbler is. Can anyone explain? I'm seeing this terminology on American Lock padlocks.

Not sure it answers OP's question, but nevertheless it's a cool patent. I didn't read it, just looked at the pics (that's my level of intelligence) but it looks like the Lockwood V7.

Yeah, I don't think that's related to what I was looking at/asking about. I don't think I've seen American Locks with that type of "Y" keyway.

Can you post a link to where you're seeing this terminology from American Lock?

Sure, I can show you websites of what I mean...

This mentions "blade" tumblers. I understand what this is: http://www.americanlock.com/pdfs/A-004_Service_Manual_2012.pdf

What I don't understand is the difference here:

F/Blade example: http://shop.neobits.com/american_lock_abt_key_d642_cut_key_f_blade_tumbler_1031010203.php

10 Blade Lock:
http://www.alexgs.com/product/american-lock-l50kd.html

More specifically, if we go to one of these industrial sites and search for a specific key pattern, often two results come, as in:

F/Blade: http://shop.neobits.com/american_lock_abt_key_e523_cut_key_f_blade_tumblere523_inactive_key_w_am_103665868.php

10 blade: http://shop.neobits.com/american_lock_l50ka_e523_10_blade_tumbler_security_ia_padlock_key_1031061457.php

So what's the difference, other than the fact that some are sold single and others sold in 6 packs at greater cost per key?
