DaD cam lock

replaced a few of these when tenants complained to building manager that these could be opened with scissors..i had not seen them before this week.
Had a play with these and came to this conclusion that all wafers and plug are to blame, first off the wafers are real close to one another when a flat object is inserted see pics.... to come
secondly the plug as a fare bit of movement or play in it, i opened every one with a tention wrench inserted...no picking required.

Re: DaD cam lock

The building manager rang me today and as had the go ahead from the owners to change all the cam locks for tenants post boxs..not just the ones that complained.
Does he need to collect all the keys from the 30 or so tenants for this to be carried out or not...my reply no i should manage lol.
He sounded happy about this as he does not have to explain why there all getting new locks NOW. :???:
