Detention Locks?

Detention Locks?

Just a quick question what is a Detention lock :?:

I've heard that they should be nearly Unpickable.
Started picking at my birthday (My birthday 2009) when i got my first REAL lock challenge!

Locks picked: 11

Latest lock picked: Master 150

Working With: Abus 65/40

I've only seen one of these up close. The key was huge, almost a quarter inch thick. (7 mm) The spring pressure was very high inside the lock and it was a multiple throw lever lock. Also had an electrically controlled feature. Not sure what the electric feature did.

I suppose the pressure was high so the convicts couldn't make a key out of flimsy stuff they had inside. I don't think you could lift the levers with a coat hanger, it would need some thick metal or it would just bend.

I've seen some old ones on eBay - but as far as a new one - sorry, I have no idea re: cost or availability.
