American Lock 1100 can't bypass

Hello!

I have a couple 1100s that I'm attempting to bypass with a Peterson bypass tool and it's just not working. I've already checked for the wafers and there are none. Since these are newer locks, have they redesigned the locks to have more metal so a bypass took can't get into the cam and rotate open? If so, is there still a way to bypass it?
Thanks!

Try some lube. You can also file the tip of the tool lightly. Work the tool in carefully. Try it a few times with the cylinder out of the lock to see how the tool works.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have taken it apart and I was correctly fitting it in, however, the tool could not pry itself in between the two areas. Lube and filing the flag will probably be my best bet.
